Pentru a fi pavăză împotriva relelor țăranii foloseau imaginea Florii vieții, un semn aproape nelipsit din zonele de hotar care despart spațiile esențiale. De aceea îl vedem negreșit pe obiectele importante: pe poartă, pe ușa casei sau a bisericii, pe lada de zestre, pe fus etc.

As protection against evil’s forces, peasants used the image o the Flower of Life, a sign almost always present in border areas separating essential spaces.That’s why we see it on important objects: on the front door of the house or of the church, on the dowry coffer, on the rod etc.
