Calul solar

Frumos, inteligent și elegant calul a devenit un animal sacru dar și un zeu cabalin în jocurile Călușarilor, ocupând un rol privilegiat în Panteonul Românesc. Purtând în pântece mânzul timp de 360 de zile, frumosul animal a devenit un orologiu biologic în timpurile de demult.
Calul era ales ca reprezentant al perioadei calde în vremurile când stămoșii se ghidau după calendare biologice sau astrale, iar anul era împărțit în două anotimpuri- rece și cald. El era asociat cu muncile agricole, cu Soarele pe care zilnic îl purta pe bolta cerească dar și cu Heros sau Cavalerul trac.
Bătrânii vedeau în spatele acestui semn forța, frumusetea și eroismul masculin.

Solar Horse

Beautiful, smart and elegant, the horse became a sacred animal but also an equine god in Căluşari dances, occupying a privileged role in Romanian Pantheon. Bearing the foal in her womb for 360 days, the beautiful animal became a biological clock in ancient times.
Once upon the time, when our ancestors were guided by biological or astral calendar and the year was divided into two seasons – cold and warm – the horse was chosen as a representative of the warm period. He was associated with agriculture; with the Sun he carries daily on the sky but also with Heros or The Thracian Knight.
The elders saw behind this sign the force, the beauty and the male heroism.
